I got a bunch of catering ice chests (the big ones). I have 4 to spare & catering utensils & 6 chaffing dishes to serve food. If needed

Wow, this all sounds great! How about bringing 1 of the large ice chests? If possible, can you please bring the ice chest to the captain's meeting?
Also, are the chaffing dishes and utensils disposable by chance? If not, no need to bring. Just let me know. We just want to make cleanup easy and would hate for you to lose any of your items.  ;D Thank you so much for helping out!

Cool, I'll bring 1 ice chest to captains mtg. I'll grab it Sunday morning since I gotta split 5:15 pm Saturday to a nite job. Chaffers not disposable, but I'll bring a dozen disposable serving size 'sporks'

Perfect, thank you!

Ladyling and I are going to bring a few trays of cornbread for the chili if that's cool!

That would be awesome! Thank you!

Captain bag party today at our house. Stuffed 90 of these Promar Bags thanks to some of our awesome sponsors. We were able to stick some really good stuff in them. Having to make a trip early just because they take up so much room and have room when we drive in on Thursday.

We were not even half way done at this point.

Mandatory Captains Meeting

There’s less than a week until this year’s slam down and we are really looking forward to everyone coming out and enjoying the Central Coast with us! This year everything will be at the same location as last year, which is at El Chorro Regional Park, located on Highway 1 between Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo. It is directly across the street from Cuesta College, for those not familiar with the area. The Captains meeting will be in the Poppy Day use area and will begin at 7pm on Friday, August 12th. We will do our best to start handing out Captains bags on Friday by 4pm in the Poppy Day Use area as well. So meet us there if you’re looking for your Swag and clothing for the event!

If you are pre-fishing and happen to catch some fish that you wouldn’t mind donating to the potluck we would love to get a start on prepping them for the fryer on Saturday. If you could bring fillets to us on Friday to the Captains meeting, that would be awesome!

You will also receive the ID for this year’s event at the Captains meeting and these MUST be visible in all of the photos taken for scoring. No fish are to be brought to the day use area, only photos on your camera or smart phone will be accepted.

We will go over everything that you need to know for Saturday at the Captain’s Meeting on Friday evening.

See you all this coming Friday!

Is your chili hot and spicy or more mild?
