Becoming a better waterman and kayaker should be more of a target to focus on than catching fish. The fish will always be around, but will you?

Great time.

Will try and put a video together soon with everything I was able to capture from the tournament.

Caught my rockfish by 830 but then was not able to find a cabby or ling till about 1030-11 I found a Cabby shallow towards the south. Then at noon we decided we better start making the paddle north and as we turned the corner at 1230 made a hail mary drop in 30FOW and found the ling. Landed and loaded gear and got to the weight in table with 20 minutes to spare.

Got my Rockfish on a Tady4/0 with a Sardine Baitwrap on it.
Cabby came on a shrimp fly and some bleached squid.
Ling came on a 4oz leadhead with a 5" big hammer.

What a day, thanks to Bobby and RyanImpreza for keeping it reel while on the water what a fun day.

Till next time,

RH

Along with thanks to Andy, Chad, and Eric, for a well organized and "fun fun fun" tournament. I was the "most" surprised of anybody, for my catch. I hope everybody gets their chance at catching the Big Fish.

But really, congrats to RHYAK and JK for all you and your friends have done for bringing us along with your genuine enthusiasm, into this sporting endeavor.

Great job everybody!   (forum needs a clapping icon)  :bent:

I really want to thank everyone who came out, whether you participated or just hung out it was a good time. If you guys have pics and wouldn't mind sharing them with me, you can email them to me at eric@prokayakfishing.com

Congratulations to all the winners! Especially Ryan! You rocked it dude. Most people never get to fish with you or see you compete in a tournament since you are usually busy running the Slam Down. Super stoked that you and Mary were able to make it this year and that you came to play! Well done!

I apologize for not posting the standings I will get that done soon. At least for those people that turned in score cards. We will do it again next year and just for everyone's planning purposes the tournament will be held the first weekend of June every year. I for one am looking forward to the Slam Down, can't wait.

Thanks again, y'all! 8)
