After seeing a comment by Ryan that said if you want to make sure you get out this year go out Wednesday and then looking at the weather report forecast for Wednesday = lake. I cleared my schedule for a few hours. Of course this would be do it now say sorry latter type mission. So once the wife left at 7am I was up getting the kids ready for school, and frantically loading all of the necessary gear into my pathfinder. I could not believe it 2 girls ready and dropped off and loaded all of my gear from scratch by 9am. Went to an important meeting related to college

and at MDO about 10:40. Christened my new sled with a sugar free Rock Star (I video taped this but my phone ran out of memory some where around the time I started shooting RockStar all over my kayak). OTW by 11:10. It took a little getting used to the lower side rails and slimmer profile of my new ride but not long at all. Very comfortable and very well designed with every thing I could possibly need with in easy reach. Its the little things that make a big difference when you are offshore and no one else is ****** censored. My shark shield has its own little mini hatch that is completely sealed off from the main hull and has a locking lid right between my legs. I'm sooooo happy with my new ride. It is easy to get going and almost effortless to maintain a fast clip. Fishing was slow but the ocean gods granted my my first fishon my new ride, a beautiful 18 inch verm. Back to land 1:40 then run run run to pack up then drive really fast back to AG to pick up chidren. Oh yeah the only important thing I forgot to pack in the morning was my wheels but no big deal my kayak only weighs 65 lbs so I just carried it down to the ocean and back.
