Just spoke with them and live bait is available, they set it aside for us.

Confirmed.. just stopped by and had a look into the holding pens... they've got some.. Whos fishing inside the bay and who is going outside? I havent decided. Ive caught some nice halibut inside the bay myself..but that was years ago.. and if its super nice like it was today where you can pretty much launch from the N side of the rock if you wanted to.. it might be worth toting 30 lbs of water around for a few miles. Undecided  :-\

I'm coming not sure if I'm fishing I'm trying real hard to get weight back. I got as low as 116 lbs. As of now I'm not sure if the open Ocean would be safe.

How much will they be charging for chovies? I can probably only handle 12-20 max in my little 5 gl bucket..  They looked good sized from what I saw though and healthy.

I don't have a live well, does anyone know if one of these types of minnow buckets would work for a dozen anchovies or maybe a half dozen?

Squawfish- I've used the yellow one and they work to keep bait alive for a few hours. Just doesn't work well while rowing with it in the water but if your drifting and catching bait at he same time it's good

I have used the yellow one too.  I was able to keep 6 or 7 small to medium chovies alive for a few hours, probably because after an hour 2 or 3 were gone........I would lift it in the boat when I moved from spot to spot and then put back in the water.  Having it out for no more than like 4 or 5 minutes at a time,  agree with Cor-Dawg not the best if you want to troll.   I think I am going to make a bait tube until I can find or make a livewell I like.  You can search the term, but essentially a PVC tube with a removable cap on one end and a removable cap on the other. With some holes drilled in it and a tether to keep it hanging right next to the yak.

Hey Squawfish they have 1-2 hobie live wells for sale at the shop. I like mine when freshwater fishing to toss my trout, kokannee, crappie, an bluegil in to keep them fresh an out of the sun light.
