« Last post by Rasmateo on August 23, 2020, 12:18 PM »
I just got a 2020 outback and was wondering if anyone had rigging suggestions. I have a humminbird helix 7 im going to use for now and wanted to get a rod holder as well. I'm new to the whole rail system and dont know which system to go with. Any preferences out there? Yakattack? Railblaza? ...

Hello CCKF,
I would like to invite you all to take part in Heroes on the Water-Jim Dolan Memorial Kayak Fishing Tournament. It is a virtual tournament much Like the CCKF AOTY tournament. It will run Sept 12, 2020- October 11, 2020. There is a Saltwater and Freshwater division. $50 for each division or $65 to enter both.  This is a fundraising tournament for the Heroes on the Water organization AND for our individual Chapters. During registration you can designate which chapter you would like a portion of your entry fees to go to. This is a fun style fundraising event with bragging rights on the line. This tournament will be running across the nation in all of the HOW at the same time. There will be modest prizes to the winners. Lets show the rest of the HOW regions that the West means business.
I will be the Regional Director for the Western Region tournament and we will have 3 other judges for judging fish during the tournament. Doggpound and Armydogg will be 2 with Adam Helm from Monterey Bay Kayaks being the 3rd.

I look forward to seeing you all on the water competing and raising money for this great cause. If you have any questions feel free to message me here or email at zclift79@gmail.com. You can also find me on Fb Zachariah Clift. and Instagram @Gopher_Slayer.

Sorry guys. Still working on seeing what we can pull off. Obviously i think at this point the full blown deal would be difficult to near impossible to pull off.

Im gonna try and get everything dialed in by the end of the month for what we might be able to do. But the virtual option is being looked at for sure.

Chow Time / Re: Air Fryer
« Last post by Zodiacker on July 11, 2020, 08:41 AM »
I tried it. It works OK. Pretty much the same result as a high temp oil fry like peanut, palm, or grape seed oils without the need to drain the fish after frying. I add a touch more dry seasoning to the flour step before the egg dip and Panko. Not much difference in texture or taste in my opinion. Only problem I have is I can't get as many chunks of fish done at one time as when I use a kettle.
