Hello all, my name is Harry Franco aka ArmyDogg. I am new kayak fishing thanks to Heroes On The Water. I was hooked on my first trip with HOW even though I flipped and lost 2 of my personal poles and new phone. I am a US Army Veteran with 4 deployments from Desert Storm to Iraqi Freedom.  I am service connected with PTSD and found being on the water very therapeutic. I recently purchased a 2019 Hobie Outback, I like fresh and salt water fishing.  I am from Bakersfield and plan on exploring lakes, reservoirs and up and down the Pacific  coast. I have signed up for the Fish Village trip in June 2020. I know I still have a lot to learn an I am sure I will learn a lot here. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this group.

Heroes on the Water / HOW Golf Tournament

Hey all,

We are in the early stages of putting on a Golf Tournament to benefit our HOW Chapter.

I would love to hear from anyone if theirwould be any interest in playing in a tournament?  Any other feedback would be welcome as well

I want to echo those Thanks!  The CCKF family(which pro kaysk fishing is a big part of)has been a huge part of our Chapter's success with EKC and the Slamdown.
Hello all,
The Central Ca Chapter of Heroes on the Water would like to give a huuuuuuuge shout out and thank you to both CCKF and Pro Kayak Fishing.
Between the 2 tournaments EKC and Slam Down, there was $7800 raised on behalf of our chapter. This money has allowed us to not only buy supplies and food for our events, but has also made it possible for us to buy 6 new kayaks and 6 new paddles as well as 15 new Penn saltwater spinning Combos for our chapter.  In addition to that we have already started to stock up on supplies and gear for next year. Next year we have 5 events planned and those 6 kayaks will allow us to get another 30 Heroes on the Water!!! 30 more Veterans, First Responders, and Active Duty that we can help EACH season. That is so crucial to the growth of our chapter.
We can not express our thanks enough to both CCKF and PKF for allowing us to keep growing and help more and more Heroes heal!
This mission is not only important to me but our entire Leadership team and Volunteer guides.
Without the support we receive we COULD NOT do what we do!

Since I could not make the event again this year, I was hoping to see some pics and a summary of the
Excitement, conditions, etc.
Am I on the wrong thread?
