sorry for the poor photography, 1 hand on my fishing pole 1 hand with the camera.and legs crossed trying not to pollute  the beautiful ocean.
ps. I never moved they came to me
about 5-8 Gray's. They are a lot slower moving then humpbacks that I have seen.

so up close and personal... that is cool!
I ran into one a few weeks ago at Half Moon Bay.  Not a close encounter like yours, but it was an amazing sight.  Below is the video I captured.  Whale shows like these are such a bonus from nature.

Becoming a better waterman and kayaker should be more of a target to focus on than catching fish. The fish will always be around, but will you?
