Can someone recommend a Fish ruler to use for the tournament?

The original Hawg Trough is a good, inexpensive choice. The downside to them is they can break fairly easy. Another option is the YakGear Fish Stik. Thicker plastic and folds up for better storage. We carry both at Central Coast Kayaks or online at prokayakfishing.com

Hi all..
Pretty excited about the upcoming Slam.. new to central coast fishing, and looking forward to hopefully pulling up my first ling.
This trough looks nice, but I'm wondering how it works with the app? How is the measurement calibrated and verified, if the numbers
aren't clearly visible? I think they're raised?

Also, any specific recommended landing nets? I used to have a frabill, but it was small handheld.

Thanks..
-Jay

The yakfish board is pretty nice IMO. Draw the inch and half inch lines in with a paint pen or sharpie really helps my eyes... LOL

Are we doing a pot luck? Do we need a pot luck thread?

The Fish Stik comes with a marker for this purpose. This is also the standard practice with the Hawg Trough.

I'm glad you reminded me. I lost mine awhile ago and I would have shown up at the Slam Down without one.

Jay,
I really like Promar landing nets.  If you like to use a net I would get a non folding/collapsible version.  If you need one just to keep on board to be compliant with regs and use just in case or occasionally the promar folding nets are great.

Is there anyone launching from Leffingwell that could pick-up my captains bag for me during Friday's captains meeting?  I'm not able to attend the captain's meeting this year but will be launching from Leffingwell morning of tourney.
