Hey all! I moved down to the Central Coast March of last year from the Central Valley (Turlock).
Growing up fishing fresh water all over the California valley, a couple years ago got introduced to fishing from a Kayak, strictly rivers and lakes, and learned to love it.
Shortly after moving here, I got the itch to fish the big blue and with no regard to the salt and couple of RHYAK videos later I took my bass rod out to the beach to catch my first saltwater fish from shore. SUCCESS! I landed a few of those finicky Barred Surf perch and continued to do so for several months up and down the SLO county beaches.
Over a year later I never could get the guts to toss my "bathtub" emotion yak into the Pacific. But after connecting with the guys over at Pro Kayak Fishing, I upgraded to a Vibe Seaghost 110 to "gear up" for my first ocean fishing outing.
