Cobra Marine HH350 Problems
« on: November 18, 2018, 06:30 PM »
So have a radio question. I bought the Cobra Marine HH350 floating VHF radio about a year and half ago from Central Coast Kayaks in shell beach. I literally have used it twice since then and it has been sitting. No water damage, never dropped it or anything. Its in physically perfect condition. When I went yaking in avila yesterday. And went to turno radio on and the display screen lit up with all the different symbols and numbers and when I pressed scan. It froze and the display faded away till it was blank. Radio was still on and can hear it but the display disappeared. So wierd. First photo is after I pressed scan. Second photo is right when I turnrd on and it will stay that way till I press scan. any help is greatly appreciated

That sucks, have you hit up CCK might be able to help with contacting Cobra. Also emailing cobra about the issue I bet they even will directly take care of it as well.

Yea crappy, thankfully I didn't need to use it lol. But yea I'm for sure going to email cobra. Just thought maybe somebody else had the same issue. And forgot to mention battery was fully charged when this happened.

Those are usually good radios. I've had mine for 3 years....and it's used every other week. The only issue I had with mine was when I didn't have my AUX port screwed all the way down. It got fouled up with a little water pretty quickly when I had a yard sale. I think having the antenna loose can do the same thing. Cobra fixed it for me because it was so new. I can't remember how long the warranty is. I hope things work out for ya.

I never got mine wet or anything. I have emailed cobra like 3 times now and no response. I've tried calling and keeps getting busy signal. Hopefully they can fix it. They aren't cheap. Thank you guys for the input :)
