gear talk
« on: June 03, 2019, 08:35 PM »
I have a older Ocean kayak
The question is mounting a fish-finder transducer,
Is there a quality of picture or sensitivity. Having it inside the hull or making so the transducer is in the water??
I take it with me 50% of the time and had it inside , Seemed to work well actually see lure dropping, but 4th trip out and it shows no bottom structure??
Still seems glued tight to the in side and the Garmin seems to be working but no detail?

I had mine glued inside the hull for years and never had an issue at all,  i would try and reglue it using marine goop.
