Well, It really all started with the GoPro for most and nothing really has been in the same ball park with video quality but that is changing. Lots of options out there. I just ordered a Garmin VIRB to check out.
Much cheaper and still records at 1080p. I will do a full review once I get the camera in hand and can put it to the test.
Also brand new camera coming out and let me say excited about this one. Shoots at 1080p and goes plenty deep for our fishing here on the Central Coast with a depth limit of almost 500ft. Also a big one that I hear a lot of complaints about is is has Night Vision and Infrared, so able to see whats really down there on those deep spots. These will not be released till Early 2016 and we have ours ordered and hopefully be putting it to the test in 2016.
