Went up to the Saddlebag Lake area over the weekend. I was tempted to take the kayak, but no one else in my party did, so I left it at home. That was a mistake - I won't leave home w/o it next time.

The Aspen should be changing colors soon, making it the prettiest time of the year, imo.

Been there.  Long before the yak.  If I'm correct, Saddlebag is the highest campground that you can drive to in CA.  10,200 ft?   Beautiful spot.

Yes agree the Siearras are the best in October. Great scenery and awesome fishing.

I was up there last year with the trailer. The size of the trout they plant up there is pretty amazing. The weather also changes pretty quick. We had all 4 seasons in one day the August before last. It was an awesome trip.

Yeah its pretty crazy we have had the same thing in June up there goes from shorts to a dang blizzard.

LoL but makes me love it even more.
