Rigging Fishing Kayaks / Old Town Predator PDL vs Old Town 120 PDL
« Last post by thebentrod on February 11, 2021, 07:02 PM »
I have a 2016 Hobie Outback and a 2017 Trident 15.   With that out the way.  How does the Old Town PDLs do for surf launches? Has anyone seen a Youtube video with either? Has anyone with the latest 2020 or newer put a 6 or 7' rod in the front hatch?  I am not completely happy with the 2019 and newer Outback, but I have not ruled it out.

Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

ANGLER OF THE YEAR / Re: 2021 Angler Of The Year Sign-up

Seems like there has been some changes this year. I noticed the point per inch is a lot different. Also, I saw that a few of the approved fish have open mouths. Are you going to an open mouth format this year? I just want to check, because with bass you can lose over an inch in length if you are sticking to a strict closed mouth measurement. And with the new point format that could be 20+ points lost per fish.

Anyway, I just wanted to get an update on any changes to the measurement rules.

Thanks!

Scott

No changes haven't had any rules for mouth being closed in recent years. As long as a lip is touching your good.

Yes to the scoring change. Gonna try something new this year.
