Hobie released a new line of kayaks called the Mirage Compass…
Hobie was really listening on this one… Anglers everywhere are complaining either the kayaks are too heavy, Hobie decreased the weight on this one without compromising stability. This one comes in a inch wider then the all favorite Outback yet 13lbs lighter…
Next is the price point that everyone wants to stay under that magic $2000 number well. Hobie did that with this boat. Coming in at just $2000. The reviews from guys that have been in them a little faster then the Outback and more stable.
What is it missing, Its missing a front hatch which really for me is not a must. This does except the 8inch hatch if you wanted the access. It also does not come with the mirage 180, but does come with the Mirage glide. So if you choose to go with the Compass your gonna have to bust out that paddle to go backwards…
They added a rail system as well to this kayak which is gonna be popular for those that hate drilling into the kayaks.
